Blackout Mae Sariang

Travel - Thailand

It rained today. That’s the first time I’ve seen rain since we were in Malawi, in January. Funny in Scotland you see so much rain that you wish it would just stop for a while. Here it’s almost a relief, as it was a bit cooler with the rain. It’s getting very hot now, even at night. So there was a blackout this evening, pain the ass. But I probably wouldn’t be writing this if there wasn’t, so not so bad. I’ve not been writing so much lately as I feel that things have kind of settled into a routine here, as they do wherever you live. And I just don’t think it’s that exciting to hear about me doing laundry or going to the supermarket, unless you’re some sort of weirdo. Although you’re probably thinking I just cant be arsed, right? Well you are probably right maybe a bit of both.

I can here cheering echoing around the valley, I think electricity may be coming back on. Woohoo, it came on for all of twenty seconds. Luckily I can use my laptop in the meantime.

So abby has gone into the camps for a week, so I’m doing the right thing, and having a pub crawl round Mae Sariang tomorrow night. Hmmm maybe pub crawls the wrong term as there’s only a couple of bars. Anyway, we’re going top get pished and play pool at the karaoke bar, by playing pool I mean playing pool on full size snooker tables, weird yes, and very difficult especially after a few beers. The games normally last for, oh about an hour.
